Togo's Epsilons return home!

All three of the Togo Air Forces Epsilon fleet which had been undergoing refurbishment in France, returned home last October. The 3 aircraft 5T-MAS, 5T-MAT and 5T-MAU are based at Niamtougou.

Senegal's 6W-SAV - before and after!!

FTB.337G Rallye 6W-SAV (c.n.3380) of the Armée de l'Air du Senegal, has had a bit of respray, before heading back to Dakar in early January. These four photo's show her before and after!

Nigeria's VIP Helo's

Nigeria operates two Agusta-Westland AW-139's in the Govermental and VIP transportation role. Serialed NAF-540 (c.n.??) and NAF-541 (c.n.31079) are operated by the Presidential Wing at Abuja - Nnamdi Azikiwe IAP.



Bangladesh's Refurbished L-39ZA!!

Seen at Bacau on the 9th February, was this recently refurbished L-39ZA Albatross serialed 309 (c.n.365309), and carrying a ferry registration of S9-AMC. Used by 25 Squadron at Chittagong - Zahurul-Haque AB, it is part of an order with the LET plant in Czech republic to refurbish and modernise the Bangladesh Air force's surviving L-39's.

Ejercito Ecuatoriana Cessna TU.206G Stationair

At least 3 Stationair's have been delivered to the Aviacion del Ejercito Ecuatoriana over the years. Seen here at Guayaquil during November 1999 is AEE-165(c.n.05674). She was lost on the 6th Jan, 2010 when it crashed at Mamayak, in the Amazon, whilst operating with the Grupo de Aviacion del Ejercito no.44 (GAE-44) at Pastaza - Rio Amazonas.

UAEAF 2007

A few Cessna 208B Caravan I's have been acquired by the UAE for support of its Special Forces. 2252 (c.n.208B-1157) is one such example, and serves wth 18 Group based at Sas al Nakhil.

The Dubai element of the UAEAF purchased 7 Aermacchi MB.339AD's. The six survivors serving with the Flying Training Acadamy at Minhad. This one actually carries a badge on its nose!

1020 (c.n.3c004/419) is one of four Hawk Mk.63C's in service with 3 Squadron at the Flying Training School.

31 PC-7 Turbo-trainers have been delivered to the Abu Dhabi section of the UAEAF. They are used in the Basic training role with 4 Squadron of the Flying Training School at Al Ain. Aircraft 912 (c.n.297) is painted in a rather smart looking overall sand scheme.

A Pair of Irans dwindling number of F-5A Freedom Fighter's streak through an Iranian mountain pass. Aircraft 2-7255 wears the code of the 7th TAB, but is in fact flying with the 85th TFS at the 8th TAB Esfahan.

A 41st TFS F-5F takes off from its Dezful base on a training mission, with two practice bombs strapped on. This individual aircraft is 00682/3-7155 (c.n.Z1002).

F-5E Tiger II (c.n.U1065) 01368/3-7335 from the 21st TFS takes off from it base at Tabriz carrying a practice round. This particular aircraft has been re-serialed from 3-7078.

LARAF Mirage 5DD

This Libyan Mirage 5DD (201) is one of 15 ordered by Libya in 1970. Although used for conversion, they retain a single Canon and have full bomb carrying capacity as their single seat cousins.
