Erieye on delivery to Thailand!

Saab 340AEW Erieye (c.n.455) 70201 is seen here in Hungary, whilst on its delivery flight to Thailand. Entering service with 702 Squadron (4 Wing) at Surat Thani, it is part of a 2008 order that also includes 6 Gripen's and a single Saab 340 transport.

Maritime Patrol - Maltese style!

Malta has taken delivery of this Super King Air B200 that was ordered on 19th July 2010. It has been fitted out with a search radar, EO & IR sensors, aswell as other modifications for operations over Maltese coastal waters. The above images of D-IMPA (BB-2016) were taken at the Aerodata AG facility in Braunschweig, Germany. Does anybody have a Maltese serial?

Three for one in Odessa!

Whomever took these photo's, had one very special and lucky day. The three Egyptian MiG-21's are MiG-21MF Fishbed-J 8360 (c.n.5008), MiG-21UM Mongol-B 5650, and a MiG-21RF Fishbed -H 8502. But thats not all, since you can also see an Angolan MiG-23UB Flogger-C I-31 with the new version of the Roundal, aswell as Three Yemeni MiG-21bis Fishbed-N's!!!

Yemen in Odessa

Yemen has been processing its MiG-21 fleet through the regeneration facilities in Odessa, Ukraine. These four images were possibly taken last year, and show MiG-21bis Fishbed-N's 2231, 2232 (c.n.75038210), 2233 and 2236. They now possibly serve with 6 Squadron at Hodeidah.

Despite no serial being visable, it does not take away the uniqueness of this photo. Pictured at Krasnador, proberly awaiting upgrade, this is a MiG-21UM Mongol-B of the North Yemeni Air Force.

Delivery of the 50 Mi-35p Hind-F's that were ordered last year for the Air Force of Myanmar, are now commencing. 68-09 (c.n.??) is seen here on the 19th Feb, being prepared for loading on to a AN-124 Ruslan at Rostov-on-Don for shipment.

A Harbin Y-12-II sits on the apron at its Ratmalana base dduring the late eightie's. CR854 is one of 9 delivered from 1986 in this overall dark Green scheme. The survivors of this batch, are now serving with 8 Squadron and operating from the same base.

Bolivian Commando!

TAM-61 is a Bolivian Air Force C-46A Commando (c.n.26671), and is seen here having its two Pratt & Whitney R2800-51 Radial Piston engines maintained at its El Alto - La Paz base, possibly during the early 1970's. It entered service with the FAB's Grupo Aereo de Transporte 71 in December 1969, and served up until 1977 when it was sold on civilian register. GAT-71 is also known as Transporte Aereo Militar, or TAM for short.
